In 1979 Oskar Lapp opened the first foreign branch office with Ölflex Inc. USA. Many were sceptical as to whether the ambitious entrepreneur from Stuttgart would overextend himself with this step if he tried to do business successfully in far-off America. But Oskar Lapp proved all those doubters wrong. The US activities were a success from the outset. He took care of foreign business himself with great commitment. He succeeded thanks to the openness he showed the new world. Oskar Lapp loved the foreign market and also had an open ear for the requests of his customers. Once again, strict customer orientation and committed customer service paid off for the entrepreneur. That was the basis for the successful strategy that was to reliably accompany Oskar Lapp and his firm around the world in future.

Today the Lapp Group has several sales and production locations in the US, Canada, Mexico and Brazil.
